Barnyard Sherlock Hooves is a wonderful hidden-object game for kids in which you have to help Otis solve the mystery of the disappearance of the animals in the barn.

Like in all hidden-object games, the goal is to find the objects that are on the list. There are five types of objects: common objects, broken objects, time-sensitive objects, special tools, and bottles of milk. The common objects are the ones that appear marked on the list as found when you find them. Bottles of milk are hints that you can use when you have trouble finding an object. Broken objects are the ones that are divided into pieces and you have to find all the pieces to complete the object. Time-sensitive objects have two states. If you manage to find them before they reach its second state, you earn extra points. Also, each special tool can activate something that allows you to find more objects or enter a locked location. What is more, some of the objects on the list are placed in your inventory to be used to find other objects. When you find all the objects on the list, the machine that Otis has reveals for 10 seconds hidden animal footprints and gives you hints about where they are.

You have to visit every place of the barn to find objects hidden in all areas, but you can leave one and continue with another as you wish. Also, the screen can be scrolled up, down, right, and left to find objects, which is awesome and not usually found in this type of games.

Moreover, the game includes two modes: Single Player and Two players. The Single Player is the one that I explained above, whereas in the Two players mode, you can play against a friend or computer taking turns and trying to find the object that Otis says as fast as possible to earn more points.

In addition to this, the game features wonderful graphics, very detailed and colorful. Sound effects are also excellent and the music is very nice, if very repetitive. In short, Barnyard Sherlock Hooves is a wonderful hidden-object game that will surely attract many fans of this genre.
